1 Day Island Hopping Trip - Pagang Island

In this post I will explain to you about 1day Island Hopping trip to Pagang Island and some islands close by. Here are the details about the trip:

Depart at 10.00am from Tin tin Home stay/ Losmen Tin Tin harbour, we will use the boat to go to the first island called Pagang Island. The journey will approximately take around 1 hour.

Arrived in Pagang island around 11am, we will provide some snorkeling gogles and fin to snorkel. In this Island you can do fishing as well.

Lunch time - 01.00PM sharp

After lunch, we proceed to the next island called Persumpahan Island or Mantangu Island. Activities are about the same with the previous island, but this island totally no residence or local people.

Around 4.30PM we are going back to Losmen Tin Tin/ Tin Tin Homestay, and it's the end of the trip.

3. Package III for 3 Person -> Rp 900.000
4. Package IV for 4 Person -> Rp 1.000.000

TINTIN HOMESTAY: WEST SUMATRA BEACH

Welcome to Losmen Tin Tin/ Tin Tin Homestay.

This homestay is the first homestay in Bungus beach, opened for the very first time at 1984. The owner of this homestay is local woman name Tin Tin. She has two sons, Rul (Raoul) and Al who now run the homestay after their mother passed away. Tin tin homestay has three rooms facing the beach with standard quality which is really good for backpackers and we offer an affordable price. Now we are in middle of upgrading the facilities and adding more rooms.

2. Pick Up service from Airport (one way) : Rp 250.000
3. Laundry : Rp 10.000/Kg
4. Motorcycle rent : Rp 70.000/ day

WEST SUMATRA BEACH

Bungus Beach: Losmen Tintin / Tintin homestay

Tintin's Homestay at Bungus Beach! Definitely recommended if you come to Padang. It's not far by mobil (mini bus) to Bungus and the village is nice, a quiet bay with fishing boats and a few local visitors, with jungle and mountain island - only the road is quite close-by, but the beach is down a wall and its totally quiet on the sand.

Although the rooms are looking quite aged, the price is friendly . But the owner, Raul, is aiming to rebuild the place - the dining room is midway in that but its a nice place to sit and get the sea breeze.

Bungus is 21km from Padang to the South.
You can get a 'mobil' from the Pasar in Padang for Rp.7000 ea. +3000 for a bag
Losmen Tintin has 5 rooms, Rp.120.000 per night includes breakfast and free wifi with small 'kamar kecil' bathroom, water, electricity supply, mozzie net, twin bed, fan
easy access to shops/restaurants along the road - good nasi padang to the left, others to the right but a long way
Raul caters breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs etc, sumatra coffee, fruit juices
can arrange BBQ
Bungus bay is quiet with only a few fishing boats, coarse sand with high coral content, coral rocks, clean water, nice for relaxing but its too small to explore!
